This summer, I’m inviting a small group of songwriters into a 5-day, hands-on camp where we focus on the stuff that actually matters:
• How to turn ideas into full songs
• Writing melodies that people remember
• Co-writing and collaboration
• What makes a song connect emotionally
• What it’s really like working in a studio
You won’t just learn—you’ll apply it immediately by writing and recording your own songs during the week.
I’ve spent years writing, recording, and now I want to pass that experience on in a way that’s real, practical, and honest.
Beginner Session: July 6–10
Advanced Session: July 13–17
📍 Lombard, IL

Frequently Asked Questions
Who is this camp for?
This camp is for songwriters, artists, and creatives (18+) who want to actively write, collaborate, and improve in a hands-on environment. All levels are welcome, but you should be serious about participating and working with others.
Do I need to apply?
Yes. This is an application-based program with limited spots (10 per session). The goal is to build a group that works well together, so not all applicants will be accepted.
What happens after I apply?
Applications are reviewed, and selected participants will be contacted with next steps. You may be asked for a quick call before acceptance.
What will I actually be doing each day?
Each evening (5PM–11PM), you’ll be writing songs, collaborating with others, workshopping ideas, and spending time in the studio recording demo versions of your songs.
Do I need to be an experienced songwriter?
No, but you should be open to feedback, willing to collaborate, and ready to actively participate. This is not a passive or lecture-based program.
What do I get out of it?
You’ll leave with real writing experience, stronger collaboration skills, and demo recordings of two original songs you choose to focus on during the week.
Is food included?
Yes. Dinner is provided each night during the program.
Where is it located?
The camp is held in Lombard, IL at a professional recording studio, with convenient train access for optional trips into Chicago during the day.
Where do I stay?
Housing is not included. Participants are responsible for their own accommodations and transportation.
What is the schedule?
Sessions run nightly from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM for 5 consecutive days. If you prefer a Morning slot please email me.
Can I attend both weeks?
Possibly, depending on availability and fit. Priority is given to first-time applicants.
What is your refund policy?
Due to limited spots, all payments are non-refundable unless the program is canceled. If you can’t attend, you may request to transfer your spot to another approved participant.
What if someone is disruptive or not a good fit?
This is a collaborative environment. Anyone who is disrespectful, disruptive, or not following guidelines may be removed from the program without a refund.
Can I bring songs I’ve already started?
